Clinton Barkhouse discovered his passion for magic at the young age of 10 in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.

 

What began as a hobby blossomed into a journey when Clint and his family moved to Brantford at age 13.

​

Learning and performing magic shows for small groups not only helped him overcome his shyness;

but also filled him with confidence. Inspired by the joy he brought to others performing magic, Clint decided to pursue magic as a business, dedicated to spreading smiles and laughter wherever he goes utilizing magic tricks to inspire and uplift others to simply enjoy.

Clint's father worked still in Hamilton as a Chemist and Clint's mom didn't drive; so between ages 13 and 16 

Clint placed a free classified advertisement in a community newspaper, as a Magician for hire! 

Not having a vehicle is when Clint offered customers to pick him up and drop him off after the magic show or

Clint would hire a taxi to and from parties performing as a magician.

In 1987, Clint began performing magic shows at events and parties, quickly gaining a loyal customer base.

With unwavering support from his father, who sold his car to buy a truck for Clint's magic equipment, what as a hobby evolved into a thriving family business. During his teenage years, Clint's father drove him to gigs, helping him connect with the community.  As Clint made appearances on radio, television, and in newspapers, "Magic By Clint" became a beloved name, capturing the hearts of many and marking the beginning of an exciting  magical  journey.

Clint found himself performing at larger events and agricultural fairground's.

Eventually his business grew to be performing at large venues such as the Caledonia fair,

which had an audience of over 1000 people or what appeared to be!  So many people! 
 

 

Clint’s journey into the world of magic began as a way to cope with his shyness, transforming his insecurities into captivating performances that would leave audiences in awe. What once felt daunting turned into a thrilling adventure, as he began to perform in front of large crowds. Over the years, Clint has built a successful magic business, traveling throughout Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and enchanting audiences with his remarkable talent.

His story is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance in overcoming personal challenges.

Clint has a passion for performing magic that shines through in his captivating Magic shows.

Specializing in an array of mechanical magic tricks, he delights audiences with brightly decorated magic equipment that adds to the enchantment. Each performance feels like a thrilling game or puzzle, as spectators eagerly try to unravel the secrets behind the magic!  Customers, their family, friends and their guest's all would have an unforgettable experience that blends wonder and entertainment!

Magic tricks are not all mechanical workings; as there are unlimited magic secrets to make the magic happen!

 

Unfortunately ​something devastating happened to Clint's parents and family home 1989 when Clint was only 19 years old.  Once a thriving family business, suddenly came to a close. His business known as "Magic By Clint" was no more. 

​

Clint was 19 and had to find real jobs out there. Clint started working at Canada Post as a mail handler/sorter as he struggled, while also working as a Forklift Operator until settling down and marrying his first wife Tina.

As a husband and wife team, Clint opened the magic again, with Grant money and help of  The Brantford Business Initiative Unlimited Program" ( a 3 year Ontario Government Pilot Program. This is where Clint completed a Business Course through this Program. ) not only as a "hobby" as this time, an actual professional business!

Clint even rented out the Sanderson center for his first large scale illusion show called, Spectacular Magic

in the year of 1993. ​What many didn't know about Clint is he utilized magic as a tool, overcoming his shyness. 

Quite an achievement working with Theatrical staff and staff of his own,

with also a Choreographer, and many dancers from a dance studio in Brantford.  

​

Sadly throughout many years, Clint was faced with many personal hurdles.

Clint is resilient and overcame each one as best as he could.

Clint eventually became a single Dad raising his daughter fulltime on his own successfully.

Clint later re-opened his magic business, this time under the name of Magic 4 Parties.

It was during this time, where Clint focused on children's party entertainment. 

​

Clint faced significant challenges as he had to put his business on hold to care for his daughter during her life-threatening illness. Thankfully, she made a full recovery, and he was to reignite his entrepreneurial spirit. However, just as he was set to relaunch, then...the world was struck by the 2020 pandemic, bringing about lockdowns hindered his plans. Despite these setbacks, Clint’s resilience shines through, as he remains determined to pursue his dreams.

​

It was during this time when Clint decided to take another route.

Magic is his passion, so he thought carefully of what he could do, that would be a safer alternative during this challenging time. This is when Magic 4 Parties Online Magic Shop was born. This way, he can still bring joy to others while also making some money to support his family. Today, both Clint and his daughter Kayla are still living together in London Ontario currently in 2025!

Clint has always found joy in performing for families, relishing the smiles and laughter of children.

After some time away, he’s ready to bring that happiness back into his life. Now in his 50s and navigating health challenges.  Clint has thoughtfully crafted a magic business that accommodates his needs, allowing him to share his passion for magic without sacrificing his well-being.  He believes that by following his heart, he can once again create unforgettable moments for families,  reigniting the joy that inspired his magical journey throughout life,

over many years.

Therefore, Clint decided to rebrand Magic 4 Parties ( Magic 4 Parties Online Magic Shop) 

into  Magic By Clint Barkhouse!

Now, Clint decided to re-create Magic By Clint Barkhouse that was the original business name in the 90's, that is now legally registered as a business... in London Ontario Canada! 

​

Our service area is London Ontario Canada & the surrounding area... including other area's of Southwestern Ontario, and  Southern Ontario Canada. Our Magic Shows are a fun type of Family Show involving Comedy Magic, that is age appropriate for all ages! Clint specializes in Children Party Magic Shows that are great for indoors in the family home, Community Centers, or outdoors at public parks with magic only and no balloons, as Clint is mindful of children with allergies/healthcare related needs. 

Example: Latex allergies.

Clint's Magic Shows are safe for all and latex free! ( Latex free meaning: "No balloon tricks & no balloon animals" )

Therefore, all the children can enjoy the magic presentations! 

There are many fun magic tricks and magical routines! 

​

Magic is great for many occasions and other events such as: 

Easter Parties, Canada Day Events, Children Birthday Parties, Family Parties, Classroom Parties, School Events, Halloween Parties, Year end Company Industrial Children's Christmas Parties and more!

​

Clint also at times uses artificial animals  that appear realistic;  so no worries of a live bunny or other animal making a mess on the customers floor or rug. No risk of being bitten as our artificial animal(s) are like  a fun entertaining puppet show. Our main one is Rocky The Raccoon!
